Director of Social Services

The University of Maryland Support, Advocacy, Freedom, and Empowerment (SAFE) Center for Human Trafficking Survivors is hiring Director of Social Services. The Director of Social Services: (1) provides strategic direction and capacity building to help the SAFE Center implement a comprehensive, clinical case management program within our multidisciplinary team model; (2) mentors and supervises a five person team providing crisis intervention, case management, programs, and advocacy to a diverse group of survivors of human trafficking; and (3) supervises on-call evening and weekend crisis intervention shifts. Due to COVID-19 and social distancing, client services will be delivered remotely and through online platforms as we phase in a return to in-person services, consistent with public health guidelines.

 

Human Trafficking Case Manager 

The University of Maryland Support, Advocacy, Freedom, and Empowerment Center for Human Trafficking  Survivors (SAFE) Center is seeking a motivated, caring, team-oriented case manager to join our clinical case management program. The Human Trafficking Case Manager will provide trauma-informed case management and crisi intervention services to domestic and foreign national victims of human trafficking, as well as assist with social services program development and outreach. Due to COVID-19 and social distancing, the majority of client services are being delivered remotely and through online platforms as we phase in a return to in-person services, consistent with public health guidelines. This is a full-time position located in College Park, Maryland. Fluency in Spanish is required.

Volunteer Position – Pro Bono Network Coordinator 

The University of Maryland Support, Advocacy, Freedom, and Empowerment Center for Human Trafficking  Survivors (SAFE) Center is seeking a public service-oriented attorney interested in volunteering on a part time basis to help us grow our pro- and low-bono network of Maryland-based lawyers that practice in areas of  law that survivors of sex and labor trafficking need to rebuild their lives.

Communications Internship 

The University of Maryland Support, Advocacy, Freedom, and Empowerment Center for Human Trafficking  Survivors (SAFE) Center is seeking a Communications Intern for the 2021 Spring term. The Communications Intern will assist the Communications and Outreach Coordinator in generating written and graphic design content for the SAFE Center’s social media platforms, annual reports, outreach presentations, internal newsletters, and other projects. This unpaid internship opportunity will be completed remotely through online platforms due to COVID-19 and the SAFE Center’s social distancing policies. We ask for a commitment of at least 10 hours per week.
